Two conferences (14 teams in west and 16 teams in east)
Four divisions (7 teams in each western and 8 in each eastern)
Top 3 from each division makes playoffs + 2 wild card spots for each conference

It is hard to figure out the perfect balance, so this is probably as good as any. Maybe adding the possibility of an eastern conference team crossing over to the west if they had more points and had won the season series would help balance a little more.Lorne Cornishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04316836594675047020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3010936623635012473.post-24200327935277904022013-01-20T04:01:00.000-06:002013-01-20T04:01:27.172-06:00Ranger Lake Bible CampRegistration is already open for summer camp at Ranger Lake Bible Camp. Nik Antropov scored the first goal for them in the 3rd period and gave a glimmer of hope that was shut down shortly after by Montreal. The Canadiens had control of the game, behind the great goaltending of Carey Price. Hopefully the Jets goaltending comes around and saves a few games for them. It may be a long season, but I am looking forward to watching the team progress over the next few years. GO JETS!Lorne Cornishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04316836594675047020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3010936623635012473.post-16390465211850458422011-10-09T13:20:00.000-06:002011-10-09T13:20:54.224-06:00Thanksgiving SundayToday I am thankful for :
This team will look a lot different for the Labour Day game. Maybe some more changes on the way before then? Can Ken Miller restore the team chemistry and winning attitude that they have had the last few years? It would sure be great to see them come out with their first home win against Winnipeg.Lorne Cornishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04316836594675047020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3010936623635012473.post-6191452401286670112011-08-08T13:22:00.000-06:002011-08-08T13:22:15.244-06:00Roughriders trade DE MullinderSome changes have been needed and the offense does need some help. I don't think Dallas Baker will be the entire answer, but is a step in the right direction. After trading Tad Kornegay the Roughriders responded with a win over Montreal, hopefully this trade will motivate the team to get their first home win this year against Calgary.Lorne Cornishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04316836594675047020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3010936623635012473.post-87575292941661082722011-07-21T18:41:00.000-06:002011-07-21T18:41:40.059-06:00Point/Counterpoint: Can Montreal threepeat?<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif; font-size: large;">Montreal does have a very strong team. With Calvillo at QB and solid receivers in Jamel Richardson and S J Green they will definitely be a contender (if not the favorite) when the playoffs come around, but winning three Grey Cups in a row is very difficult. I expect another team to take the title this year. I would like to see Montreal lose their first game of the year this week to Saskatchewan and then watch the wheels slowly fall off of Montreal's running game.Lorne Cornishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04316836594675047020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3010936623635012473.post-14538668022846557012011-07-20T21:39:00.000-06:002011-07-20T21:39:48.964-06:00NDP Fabricate Phony Brad Wall Quote In Ad
NDP Fabricate Phony Brad Wall Quote In Ad
Lorne Cornishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04316836594675047020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3010936623635012473.post-56525161578627453622011-07-18T21:28:00.000-06:002011-07-18T21:28:15.409-06:00Saskatchewan Roughriders 0-3<span style="color: #274e13; font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">The Roughriders need to make some changes. I was more concerned about the defence until this game and now have concerns on offence as well. The whole team needs to take a good look at what is happening and figure out how to turn things around. A win in Montreal would help Rider fans to forget the slow start. I am really reaching for a positive from this game, but it was nice to see that Johnson can kick a 50 yard field goal.Lorne Cornishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04316836594675047020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3010936623635012473.post-57490237580071665662011-07-06T20:48:00.002-06:002011-07-06T21:01:31.318-06:00Saskatchewan Christian Ashram

We had another spritually renewing weekend at the Saskatchewan Christian Ashram which was held at Arlington Beach Camp and Conference Centre.

It was July 1 - 3 /11.

Hopefully there will be a deal before September.Lorne Cornishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04316836594675047020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3010936623635012473.post-20000666184950972302011-06-13T21:08:00.000-06:002011-06-13T21:18:25.317-06:00Opposition supportIt is nice to see the parties work together to get something done. After being an Islanders fan since 1980, I am going to switch to a team closer to home. This seems like a good time to cheer for a new team. Winnipeg (hopefully the Jets) will be my new team.Lorne Cornishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04316836594675047020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3010936623635012473.post-56871854102582493212011-06-05T19:00:00.000-06:002011-06-05T19:05:57.840-06:00Vancouver Canucks Win in OTThe Vancouver Canucks have won both of their home games to take a 2-0 series lead. They now head to Boston for game 3. This was the first NHL game in a long time that I watched from beginning to end. This game was ended very quickly in overtime and should give them some good momentum toward the Stanley Cup.Lorne Cornishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04316836594675047020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3010936623635012473.post-4014417928178252492011-05-30T20:46:00.000-06:002011-05-30T20:58:46.695-06:00Nemeiben Lake Canoe Bible CampI had a good time getting out of town for the weekend. Even though I am not much of a fisherman, I went on a fishing trip to Nemeiben Lake Canoe and Bible Camp. It was a little bit chilly, so I mostly stayed in doors and did not even try to catch any fish. I left the fish catching up to the hard core fisherman.Lorne Cornishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04316836594675047020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3010936623635012473.post-83921882832535914682011-05-26T17:39:00.000-06:002011-05-26T17:51:45.954-06:00Back to schoolThe 2 day teachers strike will end today and the kids are back to school tomorrow. I hope there are not very many more days of job action and that everything gets settled soon. The teachers union is not winning my support by striking. The teachers going on strike costs me extra money for day care. I am sure many people would like to make the same money as a teacher and have summers off.Lorne Cornishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04316836594675047020noreply@blogger.com0
